Ada Lovelace was born on December 10, 1815, in London, England. She grew up with no formal school or university but studied science and mathematics with private tutors starting at a young age. During her career she became interested in Charles Babbage's prototype of a digital computer where she developed a computer program. Since then, she has been called the first computer programmer. Though Lovelace died from Uterine Cancer on November 27, 1852, she contributed more to the advancement of technology in her short time alive than most people contribute in their entire lifetime.
